FRLN78: Fitting in Your Fitness, Money Motivation, Happiness Secrets

This guy lost $200,000 and got kicked out of India.

Then became a security guard making $15/hour reading books for 10 hours a night.

Now he owns his own online business that lets him do what he loves for work every single day.

That's why today we're covering:

  • How to make your fitness non-negotiable.

  • A dead-simple money hack that will change your life.

  • And the secret to making happiness follow you wherever you go.

Let's get started…

This Week's Podcast Guest: Matt Karamazov

Matt built a $5,000/month online business around his love of reading books.

He's read 1,385+ books, has 116,000 Instagram followers, and gets paid to read all day.

But his journey wasn't some overnight success story. After losing everything in India, he spent nearly a decade working as a nightclub bouncer and hospital security guard — reading for up to 10 hours a night during those lonely shifts.

Through a life-altering “F* THIS” event (losing his security license due to false charges), he burned the boats and went all-in on his passion.

BTW: Matt is also shredded.

Here's your preview…

FIT — Make Fitness Your Default

Matt's advice was essential:

"If fitness is important to you, find something you enjoy doing and schedule that first. Then schedule everything else around it. Don't try to fit it in or it won't happen."

Most people try to fit their workout around their work schedule, family schedule, and everything else. But the people who are truly successful and fit year-round for decades?

Their lives revolve around fitness.

Because they've embraced a fit lifestyle.

It’s the default, not the option.

Here's My Take:

If you don't make your workout your number one priority…

It’s not going to happen.

Trust me, life will get in the way. After working with 100+ clients over the last three years, the easiest thing for most people to do is work out first thing in the morning before everything else.

If you're in your 30s, 40s, and beyond, trying to work out after work? Your chances are less than 50% on a good day. Less than 10% on a bad day. You're tired. You've been using your mind all day. And that’s exhausting.

But here's the magic.

If you start your day with working out, it will hype you up and give you more sustained energy throughout the day.

You'll show up with higher vibes, a better mental state, and more physical and emotional energy.

(You'll become a powerhouse at work)

I know because I did it for 10 years when I had my corporate job.

When I walked into the office, people were like, "The Dragon Energy is here!"

Your move?

Set your alarm. Get out of bed. And start working out, even though you don’t want to.

You may start the workout tired, but you'll finish it ready to crush the day.

RICH — Make Financial Fears Disappear

Matt's advice is all about facing your money fears:

"Look at your bank balance and net worth every day. Face your reality. Force yourself to look. When you see hard numbers of where you are at, it will motivate you to improve."

Most people stay stuck because they're hiding from the truth.

But if you don’t know where you’re at, it’s impossible to make positive change.

Here's My Take:

What gets measured gets managed, empowered, and manifested.

This is literally one of my foundational principles.

Tracking my money was — dead serious — the number one thing I did to transform my financial situation from $80,000 in debt and six years behind on taxes to becoming a Millionaire in about two and a half years.

When I was in debt, guess what I was NOT looking at?

I was not looking at my money and I was not looking at the debt I owed.

Instead, I was hiding from it, wishing it would go away...

But when you refuse to take responsibility, it just gets worse and worse.

$5K of debt turned into $80K.

One year of unpaid taxes turned into six.

But when I finally decided to face my financial fears and started tracking — my expenses, my income, and my savings rate — everything changed.

It didn't happen overnight, but I stuck with it.

And since I had a clear understanding of where I was at and where I was trying to go, I was able to crush my debt and free up cash to invest and grow my net worth.

Think of it like a GPS on your phone.

It only works if it knows two things:

  1. Where you're at currently.

  2. Where you're trying to go.

If you don't know where you're at... you'll stay stuck.

Track your income, track your expenses, track your investments.

It'll change everything.

LIFE — Stop Chasing Your Tail

Matt shared a story that I’ll carry with me forever:

There was a young cat chasing his tail, going around in circles day after day. When an older cat asked what he was doing. The young cat said, "I heard that happiness is in my tail, so I'm trying to catch it."

The older cat replied:

"I've heard that too. But what I've found is when you're walking toward your purpose, walking toward service, walking toward helping others... your happiness will follow you wherever you go."

Here's My Take:

The only thing worth chasing in life is meaning and purpose.

If you focus on that, happiness will become a natural by-product.

When people chase money, happiness, or love directly, they end up with none.

But when they chase purpose or meaning, happiness follows them.

Money follows them.

And I'd argue love follows them too.

People are attracted to people who are living a life of meaning and purpose.

This is exactly why I built my entire business around helping people build their Fit Rich Life.

When I focus on serving others and helping them transform their fitness, money, and life...

Everything else falls into place.

Focus on your purpose.

Everything you want will come to you.

ACTION — One Thing, This Week

All that said, here are 3 ideas to build your Fit Rich Life this week.

Pick one that works for you:

  • Schedule your workout FIRST, then everything else around it.

  • Look at your bank balance every single day this week (no hiding!)
