Aloha my fellow Life Alchemists! 

I'm hailing you all from the beautiful Island O'ahu as I'm currently on vacation in Hawaii to celebrate Chinese New Year with my Wife & her family. 

Welcome to the second edition of the newly revamped Alchemize FML Newsletter! 

You can think of it as 3 short actionable tips, tools & strategies to Alchemize your Fitness, Money & Life to the Next Level!

Without further ado, here are 3-actionable FML items for you:

FITNESSTrack your weight & body fat percentage (%)
I've been sub-10% body fat year-round since the beginning of 2014 & one of the keys to doing this has been tracking my body weight & body fat percentage daily. First, it's really hard to get where you want to go if you don't know where you're at. Secondly, it's easy to get off track if you're not paying attention to where your daily/weekly actions around exercise & diet are leading you. For the last 9-years I've been using the Withings Body Cardio Scale that makes it super easy to track my weight, body fat & muscle mass as it wirelessly syncs with my iPhone & Apps. Through my own testing it has been within a 1% accuracy of a DEXA Scan--a much more accurate way to measure body fat & muscle mass, albeit more expensive & you have to go to a clinic to get it done.

MONEY: Track your money
At the end of 2014 I started tracking my Money--including my Income, Expenses, Investments, Net Worth & Savings Rate and guess what happened...? I became a Millionaire within 2-years & a Multimillionaire within 3-years of starting the money tracking habit. Was this just happenstance? Definitely not in my personal opinion. By tracking my money I was able to consciously & proactively influence the direction & rate at which my wealth grew. I use Personal Capital as my main tool to track all my money and also track it with Mint (you only need to use one, I just really like to track stuff).

LIFE: Track the key lead indicator & key lag result to improve any area
The Key Lead Indicator is the thing that you need to do (and track) daily or weekly in order to achieve the goal. For fitness that could be the food/calories you consume, for sales that would be the number of sales calls you made, for a relationship that could be the number of times you took your significant other out on a special date within a month. The Key Lag Result for fitness would be your weight & body fat %, for sales it would be the amount of actual sales generated, for a relationship it could be the "relationship score" your partner gives you based on your performance over the last month. I challenge you to start tracking one important area of your life over the next few months & watch how it can radically improve with consistent measurement & proactive action based on what the tracking data is showing you.
