FRLN87: Stay Fit On Vacation, Get Richer, Grow Faster

I just got back from my epic road trip through Utah and Colorado…

And I came back fitter, richer, and happier than ever.

Here’s what’s inside today:

  • Why making fitness a lifestyle means you’ll never lose progress (even on vacation)

  • How to actually win in the stock market (hint: it’s not timing it)

  • Why coaching can shortcut years of struggle and accelerate your growth

Let’s dive in…

FIT — Fitness Is a Lifestyle

On my 12-day road trip across Utah and Colorado, something clicked for me:

Fitness isn’t something you do. It’s something you live.

Most people lose progress on vacation. They eat whatever, skip workouts, and come back feeling sluggish or heavier. But if fitness is part of your identity, it goes wherever you go.

I ran trails in Twin Lakes, Colorado — nearly 10,000 feet above sea level — and brought a kettlebell, weighted batons, and a weight-vest so I could do workouts wherever I was. I came home in better shape than when I left.

Because here’s the truth: when fitness is your lifestyle, you don’t think about “staying on track.” You’re already on it. Training, moving, fueling your body well — it’s not a chore, it’s just who you are.

And that’s why fitness sticks.

If you’ve struggled with consistency, don’t just try to “add workouts.” Instead, anchor fitness into your identity. Make it part of how you see yourself. Then it’s no longer effort, it’s automatic.

RICH — Time in the Stock Market Is How You Win

This past week, the S&P 500 hit another all-time high.

Earlier this year, the market corrected and people panicked. Headlines screamed. Investors bailed.

But if you’d stayed calm, kept investing, and trusted the process… today you’d be significantly wealthier.

That’s the hard lesson:

You don’t win by timing the market. You win by time in the market.

Wealth is built by staying the course, not by chasing short-term swings. The people who pull out when things look shaky are the ones who stay broke. The ones who stay in — through the ups and downs — are the ones who end up financially free.

If you want to be wealthy, here’s your mantra:

Stay invested. Keep investing. Let compounding work its magic.

LIFE — Coaching From an Expert

This week, I had my first pickleball coaching session with a pro. And instantly I realized:

You don’t know what you don’t know.

Coaching is the ultimate shortcut. It collapses years of struggle into months of progress.

  • I spent 15+ years trying to get a six-pack on my own. It wasn’t until I hired an online coach that I got shredded in 6 months.

  • I spent nearly a decade talking about launching a podcast. Then I hired a coach and launched within 4 months. I’ve now released 88 episodes.

  • And now with pickleball, one session with a pro revealed blind spots I never would’ve noticed on my own.

Here’s the other piece: coaches don’t just give you skills — they give you accountability. They hold you to the fire when motivation fades.

So if there’s an area of your life where you’ve been spinning your wheels… ask yourself:

Who could coach me through this?

Because the fastest way forward is rarely alone.

ACTION — Build Your Fit Rich Life

Pick one (or two) to apply this week:

  • Anchor fitness into your identity so it becomes effortless.

  • Stay invested — stop trying to time the market.

  • Hire a coach in the area you most want to grow.

Each of these is a lever that compounds over time into a fitter, richer, happier life.

To your health, wealth, and happiness,
