FIT — How I Get 15,000 Steps A Day (Without Working Out)
Your body burns more fat doing this than at the gym.
Recently, I literally wore out my bike chair from using it so much that I had to get a new one.
So for my birthday, I treated myself.
(They can be pricey — but I found a new-old-stock version of my favorite one on eBay and grabbed it so I could keep getting my “NEAT”).
What’s NEAT?
Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis
Basically… the calories you burn from non-exercise movement like walking, fidgeting, and gesturing with your hands as you speak. When you sneak it into your daily routine like I do, it adds up to way more than you’d expect.
In fact…
Studies show that the average American only gets 3,000–4,000 steps daily.
But I get 10–15K without trying. (Why?)
Because I prime my environment for movement.
Here’s how:
Using a standing desk + walking pad.
Walking, talking & working from my iPhone.
Doing work and social media on various cardio machines at the gym.
Pedaling on my bike chair during video calls, work blocks, and writing sessions.
(If you see me bopping side to side, I’m not dancing to music you can’t hear — I’m pedaling).
Each one has its own distinct benefits, but the bottom line is this…
More movement.
It won’t build big muscles. But over time, you’ll be leaner, healthier, more energized… and fitter than 90% of people you know. It’s the fitness equivalent of automating your investments (when it compounds you get exponential returns).
If you want to burn more calories, stay fit as you age, and have fun doing it… stack micro-movement into your daily routine.
So you can move more, consistently, without thinking about it.

LIFE — You’re Not Born With Confidence (Here’s How To Learn It)
The only time you can be brave is when you’re scared.
People often tell me I seem confident.
But the truth is…
I’m nervous all the time.
Confidence doesn’t come from being fearless. It comes from facing fear… over and over… especially when you don’t feel ready. I still remember my first sales pitch. Voice shaking. Palms sweating. I barely got through it.
But I kept showing up.
And after enough reps, it became second nature.
Confidence is built like muscle — through resistance and repetition.
Here are a few tools that help me (and my clients) build it faster:
The Power Pose: Stand like a superhero before a big event. (Yeah it’s a bit weird but it totally works).
Achievement Bank: Write down 10-15 things your proud of. (Add to this regularly and review to remember what you’re capable of).
Visualizations: If you imagine yourself doing a task, you actually get better it. (So don’t just imagine the outcomes you want, but the path you’ll take to get there).
Voice Activation Rituals: Do breathwork, chest-pounding, “HA HA HAs”, and (yes) yelling “YEEHAW!” as loud as you can in the car. (It gets your nervous system on your side when you’re feeling nervous or on edge).
Build Your Skill Stack: Your confidence grows when you learn new skills and combine them to make you un-stoppable in your own unique way. (Mine? — teaching, fitness, money, mindset, communication, and performance).
And above all…
Courage comes first.
You won’t feel ready. But feel the fear and do it anyway.
Mood follows action.
That’s how confidence is built (through experience).
