I turned 43 the other week.
I did some gymnastic rings workouts, played pickleball, zip-lined through the redwoods, rollerbladed with friends, and hiked along the beach with my beautiful wife. The secret? A simple strength and mobility habit that takes just 2 minutes a day — but most people skip it. It’s easy to ignore because the benefits don’t seem instant, but over time, it makes a massive difference.
And here’s why it matters:
Studies show that if you can get up from the ground without using your hands by the time you’re 51, you’re 5x less likely to die in the next 6 years. And the best way to keep that skill? Practice it regularly.
