Greetings my fellow Life Alchemists! 

Thanks to a dear friend & mentor I got to have Danielle LaPorte on my Podcast for Episode 38. I've had this dream of connecting with Danielle since 2016 when I read her book "The Fire Starter Sessions" which played a pivotal role in my life & career. She also just released a new book called "How to Be Loving" which is another great read. The podcast episode & books are a surefire way to bring some transformative power to your life!

Without further ado, let's FML! Your weekly dose of actionable tips, tools & strategies to Alchemize your Fitness, Money & Life to the Next Level!

FITNESS: Stick to a plan & goal, adherence is the #1 predictor of success
One of the most common mistakes I witness with coaching clients and people in general is that they don't stick to a workout program. They give it a few weeks then they switch to another. I see the same with Fitness Goals & Nutrition. They decide they want to to lose body fat & get more cut. Then a few weeks later they change their mind & decide they want to get bigger & stronger. Reducing body fat requires a calorie deficit. Adding mass & strength requires a calorie surplus. So instead of achieving any measurable results people basically stay the same or even slowly backslide as they flip-flop between workout programs, diets & fitness goals. I'm not pointing any fingers as I've been guilty of this in the past. In my own coaching practice the clients who have the most success are those with the highest adherence to the training & nutrition programming and stick with one fitness goal until it's achieved.

MONEY: Utilize a Shopping Waitlist
Whenever I have something that I want that is outside of the normal things I purchase each week, like groceries, I add it to a Shopping Waitlist. I've been wanting a new MacBook Pro for over 5-years. Did I need a new MacBook for the last 5-years? Definitely not, but I love me some Apple Products. This "want" went on my Shopping Waitlist and it wasn't until my current MacBook died that I went ahead and got a new one. I've had a Tesla on my Shopping Waitlist for years. And it will likely stay there for a few more. I don't really need a Tesla. I already have a hybrid. But I still want one. The other awesome thing about a Shopping Waitlist is that the Universe will often deliver it to me for free or at a radically reduced price if I just keep waiting.

LIFE: Nourish your Inner Child
Through experience I've found that I'm happiest & most successful the more connected I am to my Inner Child -- the one who wants to play, explore, have fun, laugh, be loved, be held and be reassured when he's scared. Whenever life starts sucking it's usually because I'm being way too serious & I'm completely disconnected from my Inner Child. Sometimes I just need to let my Inner Child know that everything is going to be okay because Big Dragon has got it covered. Sometimes he just needs to cry & be held. Sometimes he just needs to go play in nature, do some rollerblading, or jump on a trampoline. An easy way to connect to your Inner Child is to just close your eyes, put your hand on your heart and ask your Inner Child what he or she needs. Do the exercise. Then do whatever your Inner Child asks for & witness how life quickly gets better.
