Greetings Fit Rich Fam,

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day!

Without further ado, let's proactively build your Fit Rich Life.

This is your weekly dose of actionable tips, tools & strategies to take your Fitness, Money, and Life to the Next Level.

FITNESS: Stop drinking your calories.

At this point in my fitness journey, I feel like this one should be obvious, but even I suffered from it until my first fitness coach had me track all of my caloric intake at age 31.

When I was younger I would drink the largest Starbucks Frappucino, a trenta (31oz).

That drink alone has over 1,000 calories.

Over one-thousand-calories!!

And for years I wondered why I couldn't get a six-pack despite working out 7-days a week.

A large coke from McDonalds has over 300 calories.

A can of Coke has 150 calories, yet I wonder how many soda drinkers only have one can a day?

Even if you're addicted to soda, just switching to calorie-free soda could be a massive game-changer for your fitness.

One of my foundational rules for lifelong fitness is to not drink my calories, with the occasional exception of protein powder mixed with water when I'm pressed for time.

MONEY: How much do you need to invest monthly to become a millionaire by age 60?

If you start at age 20 and invest $218.08 per month you'll be a millionaire by age 60.

If you start at age 30 and invest $671.45 per month you'll be a millionaire by age 60.

If you start at age 40 and invest $1700.95 per month you'll be a millionaire by age 60.

And if you wait until 50 to start investing you'll need to invest $5,470.26 per month to reach millionaire status by age 60.

The earlier you start the easier because you have the magic of compound interest over time on your side.

Even if you haven't started it's not too late.

And it's infinitely better to start now, than hope for someone or something to come save you financially.

Note: the numbers above assume an 8% interest rate per year which is what the S&P500 does on average over a 20-40 year period.

LIFE: Anxiety is normal when you start something new.

When you start at the beginning of anything you're at your highest level of anxiety.

As you learn through study and taking action you gain experience.

As you gain experience you gradually lower your level of anxiety.

Doing "the thing" builds the confidence and the know-how.

The takeaway here is to recognize that anxiety is normal at the beginning of any new endeavor.

New endeavors are what bring about new growth and transformation in our lives.

The next time you feel anxious when embarking upon a new project don't shy away from it.

Instead, lean into it knowing that you're on your growth edge.

If you keep at it over the weeks/months the anxiety will fade, your confidence will grow, and you will make significant progress.

Making progress is one of the few things that brings about lasting satisfaction.

Closing Thoughts:

What is one thing you can do this coming week to improve your Fitness, Money & Life?

Whether that's switching to diet soda, starting your investing journey, increasing your monthly investments, or leaning into the anxiety of a new endeavor just keep showing up and taking action and you will be amazed at how far you come over the months and years.
