Greetings Fit Rich Fam!

Without further ado, let's proactively build your Fit Rich Life.

This is your weekly dose of actionable tips, tools & strategies to take your Fitness, Money, and Life to the Next Level.

FITNESS: Optimizing your eating at home.

In my mind, there are three major ways to optimize your eating at home:

(1) Meal prep

I freely admit that I do only a minor amount of meal prep, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work.

In fact, at least half my clients meal prep and it works wonders for them to stay on point with their nutrition plan.

It's also a great way to optimize your grocery bill.

The key to successful meal prepping is to identify 4 - 12 meals you love that you can cook in bulk and then have them throughout the week.

If you'd like some great recipes I've put together a free resource for you.

Some of my clients will do one big day of meal prep for the entire week while others do two smaller meal preps that each cover 3-4 days' worth of meals.

(2) Stocking up on easy-to-make essentials & making food fresh daily

This is what I do.

It's a bit more expensive and time-consuming than meal prepping but you can treat your cooking like a daily meditation.

I keep my fridge and freezer stocked with vegetables and lean proteins.

I keep my pantry stocked with beans and grains.

I usually cook up a big vegetable stir fry that I put on a bed of lettuce then add some sort of grain, some sort of beans or potatoes, then add a good protein source with a low-calorie dressing.

I call this the Dragon Bowl and I will usually have one for lunch and one for dinner as I am currently fasting until lunch.

For variety, I switch up the vegetables, spices, grains, beans/potatoes, proteins, and dressings/sauces.

To make things easier for myself I like to cook up a few days' worth of grains (rice, quinoa, farro, etc) and I keep canned beans on hand as I'm way too lazy to cook beans from scratch.

(3) Meal delivery

This is the most expensive option, but also the most time-optimized solution.

I've done this in the past and it was great as I got to have different meals every day that require very little prep.

If you want it to be healthy and support your fitness you need to order from the right place.

In the past, I have used Methodolgy and was a huge fan, but there are plenty of other options out there depending on where you live.

Whichever route you go for optimizing your at-home eating, the key is to utilize the strategy that best fits this current season of your life.

MONEY: New spring bonus categories for the Chase Freedom Card.

The Chase Freedom Credit Card is a staple I keep in my wallet as it has no annual fee and every quarter there is a 5% cash back bonus category.

For April through the end of June, the current bonus categories are Amazon, Hotels, and Restaurants.

I shop on Amazon frequently so this is an especially great bonus quarter for me.

If you don't have the Chase Freedom Card yet, please use my referral link to sign up. It's an easy way to support this newsletter.

P.S. Each quarter you must activate your bonus category. Use this link to activate your Chase Freedom Card Bonus Categories.

LIFE: A powerful framework for identifying your purpose.

This past week I held a special Purpose Masterclass with my coaching clients. The session was led by my friend and former podcast guest Amanda Sevilla who specializes in this area.

During the masterclass, she shared a powerful framework that one can utilize to help bring clarity to finding purpose in one's life.  Here are the components:

Obstacles: Identifying the key obstacles you've overcome in your life. Once I identified, how can you help others who are earlier on the journey to overcoming that same obstacle?

What excites you: What are the topics that you love to talk about and research in your free time?

Your superpowers: What are you especially good at? An easy way to identify this is to ask family, friends, and colleagues what they think your superpowers are.

Archetypes: Understanding your major archetypes is another crucial step and there are a ton of archetype/personality quizzes you can take to understand yourself better. Some of my favorites are the Sparketype Quiz, Enneagram, Myers Brigg, Astrology, and Human Design.

Mediums: What are the mediums in which you love to share what you learn? This includes writing, speaking, various social media platforms as well as jobs/careers and other roles you play in life (parent, sibling, etc).

While fully uncovering your purpose isn't going to happen in reading just this one Newsletter, delving deeper into each one of these components is a powerful start to getting more clarity to bring a new level of purpose into your life.

Closing Thoughts:

Focus on the aggregation of marginal gains.

With time, these small gains will compound into massive growth.

What is one small thing you can do this week to improve your fitness, money, and life?
