"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."

Greetings Fit Rich Fam!

Without further ado, let's proactively build your Fit Rich Life.

This is your weekly dose of actionable tips, tools & strategies to take your Fitness, Money, and Life to the Next Level.

FITNESS: Consistency wins out over heroic effort.

Far too often I see new clients trying to stack multiple workouts together in one day after missing their workouts earlier in the week or the week before.

This often happens even though I tell them from the outset that they should not try to do multiple workouts in one day or drag the prior week's workout into the next week.

Doing multiple workouts in one day or having 8 workouts in 7-days is a recipe for injury and burnout which further reduces one's consistency.

Instead, treat each new week as an opportunity to build up to higher levels of workout program consistency.

Whether you're doing three, four, five, or six days of exercise per week focus on consistency over heroic effort.

Fitness consistency compounds and leads to incredible results over time.

Heroic effort leads to injury and burnout which leads to having to take weeks off at a time to recover.

MONEY: Gift your child with an incredible credit score.

If you add your child to your credit card as an authorized user as soon as they're born at 18 they will have an 800+ credit score with a long credit history.

This is assuming you pay the balance on time, and in full.

You can take advantage of this even if your child was not just born, but the sooner you do this the better their credit score will likely be by the time they reach age 18.

Here are the requirements for many of the major credit card issuers:

  • American Express, 13 years old, full name, date of birth, and social security number.

  • Bank of America, no minimum age requirement, full name, date of birth, and social security number.

  • Citi Bank, no minimum age requirement, full name, and date of birth.

  • Capital One, no minimum age requirement, full name, date of birth, and social security number.

  • Chase, no minimum age requirement.

  • Discover, 15 years old, full name, date of birth, and social security number.

  • Wells Fargo, no minimum age requirement, full name, and date of birth.

  • U.S. Bank, 16 years old, full name, date of birth, and social security number.

LIFE: Unproductive things that are actually productive.

I once had a client who loved to do music covers and post them on TikTok but during a 1-1 meeting he asked me if he was wasting his time as it didn't directly contribute to his fitness or money progress as it was purely for fun.

My response was that if it was fun for him and refilled his creative reservoir then it was incredibly productive as having fun connects us with our Spirit.

Spiritual Energy is an infinitely renewable resource whereas willpower is finite.

My firm belief is that every week we must do things to refill our creative reservoir.

For me, some of those things include:

  • Walks in nature

  • Catching up with a friend

  • Rollerblading purely for fun

  • Tarot readings for myself

  • Reading science fiction and fantasy books

In your own life, what are the seemingly unproductive things that you refill your cup so that you have plenty of energy and inspiration to put into your other endeavors that increase your fitness, money & work endeavors?

Closing Thoughts:

What are one or two things you can do this coming week to be more consistent and/or have more fun so you have the energy to be more consistent?
