This is your weekly dose of actionable tips, tools & strategies to take your Fitness, Money, and Life to the Next Level.


FITNESS: Use the HALT Method to avoid overeating.

In the ongoing Fitness Journey, one of the most important things to develop is a healthy relationship with your eating habits.

We are constantly being programmed by social media, television, society, and others to eat our emotions.

Before you grab something to eat ask yourself the following:

  • Am I Hungry?

  • Am I Angry?

  • Am I Lonely?

  • Am I Tired?

  • Bonus: Am I Bored?

Most of the time I am not actually hungry, but instead, I am trying to quell an emotion.

Going for a short walk, drinking some water, or doing something creative is often more than enough to satisfy the emotional urge to eat my feelings.


MONEY: Improving your relationship with your money.

One of the most important aspects of the Money Journey is improving your relationship with money.

Most people are completely unaware of the limiting beliefs they hold in relation to their money and this holds them back in so many ways.

Limiting money beliefs that may be holding you back include the following examples:

  • Rich people are bad. If you have an underlying belief that wealthy people are bad do you think you'll actually ever become wealthy?

  • Money is hard to make. If you think money is hard to make you will always struggle to make money.

  • I'm not good with money. If you think you're not good with money even if you make a lot of it you will end up squandering it.

  • I don't know how to invest my money. If you don't know how to invest you will never accumulate significant amounts of wealth.

These are just a few of the common limiting beliefs people hold around money, but there are many more.

Furthermore, most people are completely unaware of the limiting beliefs they hold around money.

One of the best ways to uncover your limiting beliefs around money is to write a "Dear Money Letter."

Here is a sample Dear Money Letter from the book "You Are A Badass At Making Money" by Jen Sincero:

Dear Money - I love you and I'm scared of you. It would be amazing to have more of you but I feel weird admitting that. Like it makes me a bad person somehow. I also don't know what I would do if I made tons of you. I feel like I would just it all away because I don't know anything about investing so I'm probably blocking you from showing up so I don't have to look stupid.

The simplest way to write a Dear Money Letter is to just set a timer for 10-15 minutes and write out whatever comes up.

Don't hold back and don't make it hard.

Just set the timer and write out all your thoughts and feelings that arise in relation to money.

After you've written a letter to your money you will clearly see some of the limiting beliefs you hold around money.

I remember when I first did this and recognized that I had a bipolar relationship with money.

Some of it was positive and empowering, while other parts of it were clearly based on fear, uncertainty, and scarcity.

For me, the next step was to build new empowering beliefs around money, and here are the tools I used to do that:

  • Writing a new letter to money that captured my ideal relationship with money.

  • Creating affirmations/mantras that helped me step into a new empowering relationship with money.

  • Clearly identifying the values I want to hold in regard to my money.

  • Articulating my new identity around money that I wanted to embody.

Before doing the deep work of transforming my relationship with my money, I was $80,000 in debt, and no matter how much money I made I could not seem to accumulate any real wealth.

After I did the deep work of improving my relationship with money, not only did I go on to earn more money than I ever thought possible, but I also went on to become a multimillionaire and become financially independent.

I hope this newsletter inspires you to do the deep work of upgrading your relationship with your money.



LIFE: Hidden within every adversity, there is a seed of equal or greater benefit.

No matter how fit or rich you get, you will always have problems and encounter adversity in your life.

I know you probably don't want to hear that.

Despite reading this, you will likely have to go through the process of getting super fit and becoming wealthy only to realize that you still have problems and encounter adversity throughout all stages of life.

But, if you can start to develop a healthy relationship with adversity you will achieve a level of happiness that will serve you throughout your entire journey of life.

Turning adversity into growth opportunities is a practice for sure.

Even at this point in my life when I encounter a problem or face adversity I often want to to fall into victim mode.

But the quicker I step back and recognize how each adversity I've faced and overcome has led me to the next evolution of my best life, the sooner I can consciously undergo the learning, healing, growth, transformation, and transcendence that the current adversity (aka growth opportunity) is calling forth. 


Closing Thoughts:

Improving your relationship with your food, money, and life is a never-ending practice.

All truly great relationships take consistent work and ongoing energetic investment.

Take one idea from this newsletter and put it into action this week.

Knowledge is only potential power.

Putting knowledge into action is true power as it creates positive transformation.
